Year 7 PGL Residential

Last week, our students embarked on an exciting and memorable residential trip to Bawdsey Manor, where adventure, teamwork and laughter filled every moment. Set against the stunning coastal backdrop, the group threw themselves into a wide range of outdoor challenges, from scaling climbing walls to tackling obstacle courses and testing their nerves on high-adrenaline activities.
A standout moment for me was watching two pupils work together to conquer Jacob’s Ladder, demonstrating incredible determination, courage and mutual encouragement as they reached the very top. The giant swing was another firm favourite, with cheers, laughter and a few delighted screams echoing across the grounds as pupils soared through the air.
Throughout the trip, it was wonderful to see the pupils pushing themselves beyond their comfort zones, supporting one another, and celebrating each success with genuine pride. They returned home tired but happy, with new skills, lasting friendships, and memories that will stay with them for years to come. This was a truly brilliant experience for everyone involved.
