Wraparound Care

Wraparound care at Ipswich High School enables our pupils to have a safe and relaxing environment before and after the school day, whilst providing our parents with a stress-free and seamless childcare solution.

There is a small charge for the Breakfast Club and After School Club. Prior booking is required for both Breakfast Club and After School Club, please contact Prep Reception or Senior Reception.

Prep School

We offer wraparound care for Prep pupils from 7:30am to 6pm (5pm on a Friday) through our breakfast club and afternoon club.

We provide wraparound care for Senior and Sixth Form students from 7:30am to 9:00pm through our breakfast club, afternoon club, supper provisions, and Day+ option.

Prep School

Breakfast Club 7:30am – 8:30am

Pupils are offered a breakfast from the Orwell Kitchen until 8am for a small fee, please see our supplementary fees. Older pupils can study or engage in quiet entertainment.

Hoot Club 4:15pm – 6pm (5pm on a Friday)

Hoot Club is available for our Prep pupils until 6pm and includes a snack and a drink. for a small fee, please see our supplementary fees.

Senior School

Breakfast Club 7:30am – 8:30am

Pupils are offered breakfast from the Orwell Kitchen until 8am for a small fee, please see our supplementary fees. Older pupils can study or engage in quiet entertainment.

After School Club 4:15pm – 5:30pm (5pm on a Friday)

Pupils arrive in the Orangery depending on their finishing time. Pupils can either complete their homework or quietly study whilst being supported by the Boarding Staff. There is no fee for this activity.

After School Club with Supper 4:15pm – 5:30pm (5pm on a Friday)

In addition, we can offer our Senior pupils the option of staying for supper, with collection by 6pm from the school. Bookings must be made with at least 24 hours notice. Please see our supplementary fees.

Day+ 4:15pm – 9:00pm

Day+ allows Senior pupils the opportunity to stay after school for supper and join the boarding pupils in our Boarding House for evening activities such as Games Nights, Movie Evenings and Treats Nights. We can offer this Monday to Friday and pupils will need to be collected from the Boarding House by 8.30pm. Places are limited and will need to be booked in advance. Please see our supplementary fees.
