Learning Coach
Role: Learning Coach
Salary: The salary will be commensurate with the experience and qualities of the successful candidate
Contract basis: Fixed term contract ending 31st August 2026 with the potential to extend
Hours of work: 36 hours per week, 34 weeks per year (term time plus 4 inset days)
Job Purpose: A Learning Coach is at the heart of our innovative Educational Model, and you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience and personal growth of children and young adults.
Accountable to: Ipswich High School โ Head and Senior Leadership Team & Brave Generation Academy โ Regional Manager and Tim Vieira
Accountabilities:
- Individualised Support: Gain a deep understanding of the aspirations and passions of your assigned group of learners, ranging from 1 to 30, and create a tailored strategy for their path.
- Inspire Ownership: Encourage learners to take initiative in pursuing their goals and personal development, instilling a sense of responsibility and independence. This is done by assisting in creating their weekly activity plans and providing guidance to ensure their success.
- Effective Communication: Maintain open and consistent communication with learners and parents, fostering strong community relationships and building trust and collaboration. Also, keep all stakeholders informed about progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Academic Guidance: Offer academic support in Lower Secondary (LWS), International GCSE (IGCSE), A-Level, American Curriculum and UP, guiding learners from 11 to 20 years old in their educational journey. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure this competence.
- Community Engagement: Facilitate various activities using your local community resources. These can range from facilitating workshops, meet-ups with parents or any other event you think is useful to engage your community.
- Administrative Work: Manage exam registrations; write reports after each sprint (every 4 months) describing the overall progress of each learner; manage the hub budget and maintain a clean a safe environment for everyone.
Training & development
- Participate in training activities and sessions offered by Brave Generation Academy, the school and other external agencies to further relevant knowledge and skills and keep up to date with requirements relevant to the job.

Design Technician
Role: Design Technician
Salary: The salary will be commensurate with the experience and qualities of the successful candidate
Contract basis: Permanent
Hours of work: 30 hours per week, 34 weeks per year (term time plus 4 inset days)
Job Purpose: To support the safe delivery of lessons and practical activities within Design lessons in order to optimise teaching and learning.
Accountable to: The Head of Design
Accountabilities:
1. Teaching & Learning
a) Prepare, set out and clear away equipment and materials for lessons and practical examinations in accordance with required timescales.
b) Where relevant, assist in the mounting of displays and visual aids.
c) Provide assistance to the teacher during lessons, particularly if any equipment malfunctions.
d) Assist pupils in safely using equipment and giving demonstrations as required.
e) Provide support to relevant extra-curricular activities and whole school events.
2.Health and Safety
Check that risk assessments are kept up to date and employed for all relevant equipment, reminding relevant members of staff if they are not.
a) Ensure that correct and safe procedures are used during the preparation and setting up of equipment using CLEAPSS and COSHH guidelines.
b) Ensure that all relevant hazard information accompanies a lesson and consult with the teacher (or intervene with the pupil directly) if there are indications of unsafe procedures being used within the classroom.
c) Ensure the correct disposal of waste according to COSHH regulations.
d) If qualified, provide emergency first aid to staff and students.
e) Be aware of all relevant emergency procedures and take prompt action to deal appropriately with studio emergencies.
3. Management of resources
a) Maintain the departmental inventory and undertake stock control and purchasing of equipment, materials, textbooks and audio visual resources in order to ensure that appropriate levels of stock are held and that replacement supplies are obtained before stock runs out.
b) Manage, within the constraints of space, the safe, organised and tidy storage of all the above.
c) Ensure that the storage areas and studios are kept tidy and that all equipment is clean and in good working order.
d) Arrange for the testing and/or servicing of equipment at required intervals, and for repairs to be undertaken when necessary; undertake minor repairs within own level of competence.
4. Training & Development
a)ย Participate in training activities and sessions offered by the school and other external agencies in order to further relevant knowledge and skills and keep up to date with technical and health and safety requirements relevant to the job.

We are seeking to appoint new staff to join our dedicated and hardworking cleaning team.
As part of our cleaning team, you will maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of our school and boarding house. Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage however not essential, as training will be provided to successful candidates. You should have good organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, be a team player and have the ability to work with limited supervision.
Duties will include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying bins, toilet cleaning and other tasks as required. Use of machinery may be required to complete some tasks for example, floor cleaning machinery.

Learning Support Assistant – Senior School
We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils and staff in our school. Whilst we are ideally looking for someone with experience in this type of role, for an exceptional candidate without significant experience, we would still encourage you to apply.
Applicants must be competent and confident in supporting pupils up to at least GCSE level. Experience of or an understanding of how best to support pupils with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, autism, and speech and language difficulties is desirable. Knowledge of supporting pupils in mathematics and the sciences would be particularly advantageous.

After School Club Supervisor
ยฃ12.21 per hour

Ipswich High School requires an enthusiastic and flexible After School Club Supervisor to support the pupils after school. Duties will include playing a complementary and supporting role to class teachers in encouraging pupils in their learning and the acquisition of knowledge and skills. A sense of humour is vital.
Hours are 4.15pm to 6pm, and 3.15pm to 6pm on Fridays, term time only. The pay is ยฃ12.21 per hour (from April 2025).
