Learning about Vex IQ Robots

Pupils in Year 6 enjoyed an exciting and educational afternoon of coaching and competition with our new VEX IQ Robots on Friday 10 October.

Introducing VEX robots to our Prep School has opened up a new world of creativity, teamwork, and friendly competition. Guided by Mr Calver from VEX IQ, pupils took part in hands-on coaching sessions before putting their skills to the test using our robot ‘Huey’ in this year’s challenge game, ‘Mix and Match’.

Teams from Ipswich High School and Ipswich School faced off in a series of fun and fast-paced matches, learning valuable lessons in problem-solving and collaboration along the way. The enthusiasm and teamwork on display were fantastic, and we look forward to growing this provision and hosting more VEX IQ competitions in the future.
